DIY | back to school

Although some of you may already have started school, I at least wanted to do one blogpost about back to school. So here it is, some simple but fun DIY’s!

cover your books in maps

I don’t remember where I got it from, but I like the idea a lot! So what you do is, you take a map that you like and one that’s big enough of course. Cut out what you need and cover a book. It’s as simple as that. I took a map from Germany to cover my German course. And one from France for my math book, because I don’t have a French book 🙂

To make it a little cuter, I put some washi tape around the corners of my book.

cover with glitter paper

I like the brown paper a lot for covering books, but something more striking can always work! So I chose this super fun glitter paper! I didn’t cover my book completely with it though, that would be a little too much I think. And of course I added some washi tape.

create you own cover paper!

This is so much fun, and easy! Cut out a piece of cover paper that’s a little bit bigger than you need, draw something fun or make your own stamps, and than just cover your book(s). Super cute and you are original!

more washi tape and writing

As they say you can never have enough shoes, which is completely true, you can also never add too much washi tape! So, again, cover your books with cover paper in one colour and add as much tape as you want! Vertical, horizontal or diagonal, it’s all possible!

What I than like to do is write the name of the course in big letters on the cover of the book, or your name if you like that.

! TIP !

If you have a locker, it’s always easy to write the name of the book on the back cover, so you can easily see which book you need to take.

When do you start school?

Lots of love, Emma
